If possible, it really helps if we all use cash where we can, so if you don’t already, it’s worth withdrawing a bit of money and just starting using cash! We think that if you’ve got out of the habit, once you start paying for things with notes and coins again, you’ll enjoy it more than you might think. Paying with cash shows businesses that accepting our coins and notes is wanted and needed, and it keeps the critical momentum going.
If you feel comfortable, it’s worth talking to cashiers about the fact that you’re paying with cash, and that you really appreciate that they accept it.
It’s also a good idea to talk to friends about the benefits of cash and why it’s important that it’s still accepted.
If businesses or services don’t accept your cash, perhaps take your money elsewhere! It’s worth mentioning if you feel comfortable that you would have liked to pay in cash, and you can also leave a google review saying when a place doesn’t take cash.
